About Veterans Transition House:
Founded in 1990 Veterans Transition House has provided more than 3,000 Southeastern Massachusetts homeless veterans with transitional and permanent housing and comprehensive supportive services. Veterans Transition House owns and operates seven properties across New Bedford with the capacity to accommodate housing for 90 homeless veterans. An additional 90 veterans are served within a Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. Opened in 2021, the new Anthony C. and Salvatore H. Alfiero Outreach Center is staffed with licensed clinicians, and outreach, housing, healthcare and employment specialists to serve veterans in our community who are at risk of becoming homeless, experiencing food insecurity, and in need of human services.

The organization helps to ease the burden of those affected by Parkinson’s Disease and turns them into “Warriors” by combating symptoms through the sport of boxing.
Brick Road Wrestling
Brick Road Wrestling was formed in 2015 with the goal of enhancing off-season wrestling opportunities for high school, middle school, and college wrestlers. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Brick Road Wrestling is a competitive training club built for athletes pursuing opportunities and success at the state, regional, and national levels. Practices are structured to blend skill instruction, high‑rep drilling, and live situational wrestling, with a strong focus on developing confidence, toughness, and high-level execution.
Fairhaven Acushnet Youth Baseball
Fairhaven Acushnet Youth Baseball is a non-profit organization chartered through Cal Ripken Baseball and Babe Ruth Baseball with the purpose of promoting a high level of instructional, recreational, and competitive baseball for the youth of Acushnet and Fairhaven.
The Erick Fernandes Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Eric Fernandes Memorial Scholarship Trust Fund is an independent non-profit organization that is committed to supporting our young adults in their journey of seeking higher education.
Each year The Eric Fernandes Memorial Scholarship Trust Fund will award scholarships for selected children of New Bedford firefighters who are seeking higher education. Your support will help us accomplish this goal.

The PRINCE HENRY SOCIETY OF MASSACHUSETTS, NEW BEDFORD CHAPTER was founded in 1980 by the late Milton Ferreira, Anthony S. Catojo, Jr. and Gabriel “Gabe” Moura to preserve the contribution of the Portuguese in America and promote the cultural, economic, educational and social betterment of persons of Portuguese descent.
New Bedford Police Union
The New Bedford Police Union is the exclusive collective bargaining representative for police officers in the New Bedford Police Department, covering ranks from patrol officers to captains. They focus on local events, charity drives like “Presents with Police”, and public safety campaigns.
Acushnet-Fairhaven Basketball League
The Acushnet-Fairhaven Basketball League (AFBL) is open to all children who either reside or attend school in Acushnet or Fairhaven.
Our program focuses on fundamental skill development, teamwork and good sportsmanship.
AFBL’s goal is to provide all children with a fun experience that will enable them to learn the game of basketball in a competitive environment.

The Fairhaven High School After Prom is a secure, overnight celebration organized entirely by a dedicated parent-led committee. Held immediately after the prom concludes, this drug- and alcohol-free event focuses on preventing late-night driving accidents by keeping students in a protected environment until morning. The night features various forms of entertainment, continuous food options, and drawings for high-value prizes, all made possible through local community sponsorships and parent fundraising efforts.
