Our History
The timeline of events in our company.
1997
Our Story began in 1997 under the name Donnelly & Associates, a food safety consulting company that specialized in the New Bedford/Fairhaven seafood industry.
2001
Andrew Sievers a veteran in the pest control industry who specialized in food and pharmaceutical processing met David Donnelly, a former federal regulator who was on the pilot program for HACCP. When David and Andrew met, pest control was the largest weakness in most food processing operations, customer service wasn’t far behind poor documentation. There was an open door, and no other company was offering this great concept.

2009
Andrew Sievers and David Donnelly merge to form Northeast Pro-Con Solutions. Pest Control and Food Safety under one roof. We still may be the only company in the United States that handles these two services under one roof. If you are in this processing industry, you know why this is needed.

2017
Northeast Pro-Con Solutions changes their name to profishant, inc. This was done for many reasons including, separating ourselves from the 1000’s of other companies with Pro-Con in their name but, most importantly as homage to the industry that our company was built around, the seafood industry.

2021
Michael Ouimette and Benjamin Haley become principles here at profishant after many years of superior service.

2022
Co-founder David Donnelly officially retires. In 2022 David Donnelly retired from profishant and began the next chapter of his life. He is still a Fairhaven resident but enjoys time in Maine as well. He spends his time with his wonderful wife Marianne and his two dogs, Oliver, and Ferguson. He is but a phone call away and we are sure we will still need his advice, guidance.
And friendship.
2024
May 1st, 2024: profishant returns to its roots, relocating to the historic Frates Ice Cream plant at 2834 Acushnet Ave, New Bedford MA. Embracing a new chapter in our journey, we’re excited to continue serving our community from this iconic location.
